Economic Heavy Duty LIFO Drive-in Pallet Racking System for Industrial Storage

Drive-in pallet racking is the most popular form of high-density pallet racking and is a more affordable option than some of the other alternatives. A drive-in pallet racking system is best for high-density storage of single SKU products without pallet differentiation or time sensitivity.

For LIFO (last in, first out) stocking situations, a drive-in pallet racking system allows multiple pallets to be stored in a small footprint, making efficient use of limited floor space. Forklifts can access the racks directly and add or remove pallets as required, making this a very efficient method of storage.

Heavy Duty LIFO Drive In And Drive Through Racking System

Drive-in pallet racks allow for highly compact storage of pallets in multiple horizontally and vertically aligned aisles. Vehicles drive into the aisles and place the pallets from back to front on storage rails that run completely from one side of the rack to the other. This makes optimum use of surface area and storage space.

Drive-in pallet racking is particularly suitable for storing large quantities of identical items, pressure-sensitive or unstable goods, for small to medium-sized product ranges, and for low-turnover items. This racking system is also suitable for seasonal or buffer storage, and for storing products with a long shelf life.

The goods are stored and picked up using service trucks driving into the aisles. Goods are always loaded and unloaded on the same side. Based on the last-in-first-out principle of operation, the last pallet is stored and then the first is retrieved. The system should therefore only be used to store goods that do not require direct access to a specific pallet.

Compared to drive-in pallet racking, drive-through pallet racking has all the same benefits, but it can also be used from both sides: goods are stored on one side and picked up from the other. According to the FIFO (first in first out) principle, the first load stored is also the first to be retrieved.
